2024/25 Coach Selection

The inaugural season Coach Selection process was lead by Kristy Biddle. 

Committee Members:

• Sheri Markle, John Mezenberg, Jackie Banning, Kristy Biddle

Selection Committee Overview:

• Committee members were carefully chosen from regions across the province to ensure impartiality and fairness in the selection process.

• The inclusion of members from various regions mitigated any potential bias that could have arisen from a solely Eastern Region-based committee.

Key Steps in the Selection Process:

1. Application Review:
   • Received applications from prospective coaches, both head coaches and assistant coach applicants.
   • Evaluated each application based on predetermined criteria including coaching experience, qualifications, alignment with team goals and letters of reference.
     
     
2. Interview Process:
   • Conducted thorough interviews with all candidates.
   • Assessed coaching philosophies, strategies, season plan and compatibility with team dynamics.
     
     
3. Final Deliberations:
   • Committee members convened to discuss and compare candidates' strengths, weaknesses, and suitability for the U19AA coaching position.
     
     
4. Consensus Decision & Report:
   • Through collaborative discussion and deliberation, a unanimous decision was reached on the selection of the two (2) most qualified candidates.
   • The committee produced a 8-page report that made further recommendations on Assistant Coach placements and discusses findings, observations and recommendations to the successful head coaches
